Cancellation Policy

I respectfully ask that you provide a 24 hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests. You will be charged $35 or 50% of the service fee (whichever is greater) for cancellations/reschedules within the 24 hour period and 100% of the service fee for no-show appointments or cancellations within 2 hours of your appointment time. No refunds. Fees will be waived if I can fill the appointment. I also reserve the right to require a credit card number to be given to book future appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation does occur. Your card will not be charged except in the case of late cancellations or no-shows. You will receive a reminder text 48 hours before your appointment to give you ample time to comply.

I understand that emergencies can arise and illnesses do occur at inopportune times. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 12 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you cancel your session. Please do so as soon as you know you will not make the appointment, as it will still be considered a no-show if you do not give me ample notice. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellations. I will do my best to give advanced notice if I am closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and ask you to do the same. Please do not risk your own safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed session charges, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Late Arrival Policy

I request that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to answer any intake questions I may have and for me to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I understand that issues can arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. However, I ask that you call to inform me if this ever occurs and I will do my best to accommodate you. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so oftentimes we cannot exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving late may result in a loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full-service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return, I will do my best to be on time, if I am unable to do so I will add time to your session or adjust the service charge accordingly, to make up for our late arrival.

Inappropriate Behavior Policy

Massage therapy is for therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in the immediate termination of your session and a refusal of all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited I may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat me with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.

Terms of service

By scheduling with Midvalley Massage, you are agreeing to the following terms: I give my permission to receive massage therapy. I understand that massage is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment, medications, or mental health services and that my massage therapist does not diagnose illnesses or injuries, prescribe medications, or treat any of the aforementioned. I understand the importance of notifying my massage therapist of all medical conditions and medications I am taking and letting my massage therapist know about any changes to these. I understand that there may be additional risks based on my physical condition. I have clearance from my physician and/or mental health professional (if applicable) to receive massage therapy.

At Midvalley massage, cupping, gua sha, and hot stones are sometimes incorporated into sessions, I understand the risks associated with these modalities and massage therapy alone include, but are not limited to: Superficial bruising, short-term muscle soreness, and exacerbation of undiscovered injury. I, therefore, release Midvalley Massage and the individual massage therapist from all liability concerning any injuries that may occur during the massage session. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform my massage therapist of any discomfort I may feel during the massage session so that she may adjust accordingly.

I understand that massage is for therapeutic purposes only and that I or the massage therapist may terminate the session at any time for any reason. I have been given a chance to read over these terms and ask questions about the massage therapy session and my questions/concerns have been answered.

Covid-19 exposure risk

I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by receiving a service at Midvalley Massage, despite preventative measures put in place to reduce the spread, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Midvalley Massage may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Other business owners in Suite #216, Midvalley massage Clients, and Clients of neighboring businesses.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my family or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my family may experience or incur in connection with my attendance at Midvalley massage or receiving a body treatment. On my behalf, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Midvalley Massage and Hypnotherapy, its employees, its neighboring businesses, and its clients, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Midvalley Massage and Hypnotherapy LLC, its employees, its neighboring businesses, and its clients, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after receiving services.
